Challenge

The Helicopter Bell's dimensions were not very large at 42 ft. length x 11 ft. width and 12 ft. height. It weighed just 2.5 Tons. The volume and weight were not important factors to consider; security and handling were very important, as it was high value cargo.

Solution

The team LCL Logistix planned everything down to every last detail. The helicopter was first dismantled at the Juhu aerodrome, and then transported on a special Low Bed Trailer to Mumbai seaport. The entire transportation was done with a professional escort at night, to avoid traffic and unexpected delays. It was spectacular scene on the Mumbai streets, with heads turning around at seeing the Helicopter on the move.

At the Mumbai port, the helicopter was diligently and carefully loaded on to the ship. It was fork lifted into the NSCSA vessel by none other than Captain Luay himself.
