Mumbai, July 01st, 2010: LCL Logistix today launched its  Container Freight Station at Nhava Sheva, Ocean Gate Container Terminals Pvt. Ltd. The facility is located about 22 km from the container terminal at Nhava Sheva on the Mumbai – Goa Road.

This is LCL Logistix’s second CFS, the first being Logix Park which was launched in March 2008 in Pipavav.

The state of the art CFS provides all storage and service facilities to businesses, including warehousing, container parking, storage of reefer cargo, hazardous cargo handling, container repairs and maintenance, packaging of cargo, labeling, and other logistics services under one roof.

Ocean Gate Container Terminal is spread over 17 acres of land and offers 16,500 sq m of warehousing space in addition to the yard capacity of 10,000 TEUs. The yard is equipped with 15 reefer plug points, and the CFS also has an administrative building with office space available to facilitators. The huge facility is an ocular proof of LCL Logistix's provision for the logistics requirements of businesses and customer dedication.

Taking a longer term view, the new multifunctional OCTL will service customers beyond existing parameters of CFS’s in the Nhava Sheva area.  LCL will use its in-house capabilities and services of transportation, Freight Management (both air/sea), Supply Chain Management. LCL Logistix through OCTL has the power to offer rationalized costs and lead times to customers through in house owned and operated logistics facilities.
